The Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K is a powerful camera that offers high-quality video capture capabilities. With the 6.6 update, the BMPCC 4K now offers even more versatility. It can record up to 80 fps in a 2.8K raw mode for 4:3 anamorphic footage and up to 75 fps in a 4K raw mode in 2.4:1 widescreen. The camera also provides de-squeeze options for anamorphic recording, with both 2x and 1.33x de-squeeze previews available. It supports slow-motion rates of up to 120 fps in 2.6K raw for Super16 lenses and cropped Full HD.

Other enhancements include additional language options, USB PTP control, customizable frame guides, pinch-to-zoom functionality, the ability to embed custom LUTs in Blackmagic Raw metadata, and more.
The camera utilizes a Micro Four Thirds lens mount, compatible with the original Pocket Cinema Camera lenses as well as PL, C, EF, and other lenses through separate adapters. It offers a dual-native ISO up to 25,600 for impressive low-light performance, and its 13 stops of dynamic range deliver vibrant HDR images.
Recording options include the internal CFast 2.0 and SD/UHS-II card slots, as well as the USB Type-C output for longer clips to an external drive. The camera features a 5″ touchscreen LCD, reducing the need for an external monitor, and a full-sized HDMI port for signal output to larger displays. The menu and interface are similar to the URSA Mini camera, and 3D LUTs can be applied for monitoring or applied during recording.
Audio capabilities include a mini-XLR input with phantom power, a 3.5mm jack, and an internal stereo mic. The camera operates on the same Blackmagic OS as the URSA Mini and supports Bluetooth remote control. It comes with a license key for DaVinci Resolve Studio, providing comprehensive post-production control. The carbon fiber composite build ensures durability and strength, and power options include the included Canon LP-E6 type battery or the supplied power supply.
